Single image vs comic strip?

Kind of for the reverse bang, but also in general. I am very very lucky that people like my art and write stuffs inspired by it and I feel like I am so spoiled TvT

Just curious to writers, or everyone in general:

Which one inspired you more? A single image that is open for interpretation, or a series of images/comic strips that provide more specific settings/interaction/plot?

I got a few ideas that I can do either way, but the same idea will present differently. There’s also decision in what information to include/discard. I admit I am kind of like world-creating-freak because of my current major (Game design, my recent project was designing the transportation system and its cultural consequences in the fantasy world of the game. For some reasons I created new religion and rituals too lol)

But sometimes these info are kind of in the way, because obviously they are restrictions.

So, any thoughts?

(Going to be a bit slower in posting/replying…RL portfolio work and also I have a bunch of fandom projects going on (fanbooks, events and reverse bang))

  6. unforgott3n said: I’d imagine that would depend on the writer, but for the bang I’d say go with a comic strip if you have something more specific in mind for an overall story, and go with a single image if you just have a scene/setting in mind.
