I ran into someone at work today who not only sounds almost exactly like Alfred, but also puts his dogtag/id into his mouth before holding the door for me, even though the dogtag/id is safely hanging on his neck in the beginning. It puzzled me as I said my thanks and walked to the door lolrz

I wasn’t the mod back when this was originally posted, and I’m having a fit of nostalgia so I’m going to rec this fic once more.
People may be bored to death of hearing about this fic, but in my mind it is one of, if not the defining AmeCan fic. The Hetalia fandom has truly produced some beautiful and heartwrenching fanworks, and this is one of them. If you have not read it yet, I sincerely recommend doing so.
